This is one of the last remaining Nathanael G. Herreshoff, designed and built, yachts in existance, Herreshoff Manufacturing was wiped out in the hurricane of 1938. It is the only yacht known to be in existence with it's particular original sail plan. We are currently in the process of getting her listed on The National Registry of Historic Places as well as part of the White House Millennium Project "SAVE AMERICA'S TREASURES" program
We are also associated with several non profit organizations developing a program to involve at risk and under privlidged youth in a career training program. An eventual "Boot Camp" at Sea" program is in the planning stages. Yawl Cat Ventures is applying for IRS 501c(3) status. Your participation MAY be tax deductable.
Depending on the level of participation, we can also offer to you, Corporate Charter opportunities, at little or no cost, to entertain your clients, or reward outstanding employees, anywhere on the seven seas, once this beautiful yacht is finished.Once completed this yacht will be present at many wood boat shows, classic boat races and marine events world wide. We will provide you usage of this yacht as a Showcase of your products, at these shows. We would also give you the right to use our name, any photo's, Logo's, Pictures in your advertisments.
Most important would be your involvment in the saving of an Important piece of Maritime History, and essentially making this Vintage Yacht better.
We are looking for relationships that will be mutually beneficial. Your products will be used in the reconstruction of an historic vessel, that potential users of your products will not be able to resist. A captive audience will be driven to this vessel, and your products.
